Exceptional books and simple principals that teach a lot
Love love love them - what a clever idea!! Most people know money management is not taught in schools at any age unless you’re taking an economics class… Starting out young will put more kids in a better position to handle long term finances and investments. My 2year old grandchild already includes hank the hamster and charlie the bunny in her nighttime bed routine…who saids you’re never too young to start learning! Kudos to the savvy economic lady writing these books. Beth Faughnan, a very satisfied and enriched grammy!

I thought the content was great, but could have been more writing in the books. They were very short.
My son is on the autism spectrum and is very advanced for his age (5) academically. These books were a hit with him. He was thrilled to explore each book and had a lot of questions for me as he engaged over a few weeks.
Really excited to find these books that are appropriate for my 5 and 8 year olds, as we've been trying to address these topics and this makes it easy and fun! Thank you!

My daughter (four years old) really loves the books and, to my pleasant surprise, seems to understand the concepts (especially inflation-ha!) very well. I bought these books on a lark, but asks me to read them in every night!

It also offers valuable tips for parents and caregivers to share and implement with their children. Highly recommended.
This book is amazing! It tells the story in a way that kids can really understand. The aspects of money and the use of money to buy things, save money, earn interest, etc. are all covered in this book. The book is over 100 pages as it has the full set inside. I would recommend reading one of the books a night, maybe skipping a day or so, in between so they can keep their attention. My son really understood it. We re-read book one last night and he remembered all the important aspects. I plan to re-read it every few months with him.

My 8 year old has always been super curious about money, but besides bringing in the Math concept, we struggle to explain all the money related financial concepts. This book was awesome, my son was reading it non stop when he got it, and after he finished all 5 books, I even tested him with some concept questions afterwards, he was able to describe all of them. I was So So SO genuinely impressed!!!!
Awesome books and the kids enjoyed too! Such important lessons to teach in a child like manner. Perfect! I wish it was all required reading for parents !! so many wonderful lessons to learn and our economy and society would be so much better.

At the beginning of the book, there is a cheat sheet highlighting the different concepts of money and what page they are on. It does this with pictures. It is so helpful and a great display. The book has a great breakdown of the various concepts of money. A must get if you have little ones.
I think it is good for children to lean about economics and this book presents it in simple ways for the young ones. Along the way there are hints for the adult reader and some excellent suggestions to drive home the points and let your child see the use of money, wants versus needs, credit cards and banks, supply and demand, and inflation in the real world. Of course, the importance of saving is good to learn at an early age.
I like how the author starts with the essentials of money by telling kids that money is earned and does not grow on trees. The author smoothly tackles more advanced concepts, such as interest and inflation. The pictures illustrate the ideas in a meaningful way. This book is good for parents to read to children ages five and up.
The book series "Little Economists" is an excellent introduction to financial literacy for children aged 4 to 10. It addresses important concepts such as money, spending, credit cards, supply and demand, and inflation using cute, vivid graphics and clear explanations. I love this series . It is so easy to understand. A fantastic tool for educating young people about finance in a fun and instructive manner. The tips the author gives at the end of each book are very helpful. Highly recommended!
While very simplified, i feel like this book does a good job of making the idea of economics relatable to children. The point is to get them thinking about the value of money and the importance of understanding its use. While the illustrations are not “professional” by my eye, at least they were not AI generated, and you can know that there was at lease effort on the part of the author to create a thoughtful and informative book on an otherwise dry and often obscure topic.
This is a great resource for introducing kids to the concept of money at an early age. The author presents a lot of different ways to learn how to learn and respect the importance and how to utilize it. There are areas in the book that are easy for younger kids, and other parts more complex for older kids. The friendly illustrations make it approachable and easy to follow. It’ll be a good book to open and read several times during a young reader’s growth and understanding of this type of concept.
Little Economists Volume 1 is a smartly designed book to help little kids understand the concept of money and various things related to it. With cute, colourful illustrations, the author breaks down more complex concepts into easy-to-understand ideas that will help your little kid not only understand what money is but also how to use it wisely. Concepts of saving, sharing, and spending are nicely explained, as are things like credit cards, bank, interest, and a lot more. There are also instructions at the end of each chapter for parents/ grandparents/guardians to show real-world examples of the concepts covered, which include following some good money habits. The later chapters delve into the more complex concepts of Supply and Demand, Inflation, etc. All in all, it is an excellent and unique book that will be valuable to every kid’s development, especially in terms of finance. Pick one up today!
I enjoyed reading this! This is a great introduction for children to help understand concepts such as money, credit and credit cards, and tougher economic stuff like supply and demand... and even inflation! It's entertaining to read and the text is age appropriate (5-8 years). It handles complex subjects very skillfully. Every kid in elementary school should read this book. Why only 4 stars? I'd give it 4 and 1/2 stars, if I could. While the content is perfect, the visuals are... lackluster. The chosen font is generic and boring, and the illustrations are borderline amateurish. Having said that, I recommend that you buy this book for your 8-year-old right now.
Very good, age appropriate explanations that make it very easy to understand for children. The examples were easy for my 8 and 5 year old to grasp. I could even have them explain concepts back to me in their own words afterwards. I highly recommend this book.
