Meet the Creator - Kelly Lee

Kelly wrote and illustrated the Little Economists series based on her passion for raising financial awareness among children. Her mission is to spark financial curiosity early—because the way children think about money today will shape the decisions they make tomorrow. She believes that financial education can (and should) start early, even from the first trip to a supermarket, when a child notices that money is exchanged for the things they take home. Kelly’s books are meant to turn those everyday moments into opportunities for learning, giving children the confidence to talk about money and ask thoughtful questions.

Kelly graduated from Cornell University with a degree in computer science and then worked at a quantitative trading firm in New York City for many years. She lives with her family in the Bay Area.
